We are working hard to make sure Pakistan hosts a top-notch competition.”
Whether India would agree to send a team to Pakistan for the event remains the biggest concern. India had declined to send a squad for the Asia Cup to Pakistan the previous year. In the end, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) decided on a hybrid format for the competition, with all of India’s games and the great majority of matches taking place in Sri Lanka.
